These groups assist elected officials and staff in the government and operation of the City. Members include elected officials, staff, and community members whose primary function is to review, research, and evaluate issues and make recommendations to the City Council and staff.

Planning Commission - 2nd Monday at 6:30 PM at City Hall
The Planning Commission reviews development projects and zoning matters, and enforces the City's building requirements.

Economic Development Authority - 2nd Wednesday at 7:00 AM at City Hall
The EDA reviews all economic development projects. The city has a number of development sites available for new businesses as well as access to a variety of financial assistance tools. Public Works Commission
The Public Works Commission meets to deal with projects that pertain to streets, sewer and water, park maintenance and other projects related to the infrastructure of the City.

Trail Committee - 4th Tuesday at 7:00 PM
Made up of representatives from Cannon Falls, Red Wing, and Goodhue County, the Trail Committee oversees management of the Cannon Valley Trail.
