Building Department

The City regulates and permits most construction and development projects through a contract with Goodhue County. 

The following applications are required for certain types of projects.  For more Building Code information go to the Goodhue County Inspections WWW site, www.co.goodhue.mn.us/departments/landuse/building/index.aspx.  Please contact the City early on when considering a construction project and we can help you through the process.

Contractor License Waiver for Property Owners.pdf  An applicant for a residential building permit can be a Minnesota licensed contractor or the property owner.  Property owners should submit this waiver with their permit applicaiton.
